It’s the start of the school summer holidays which, for adults, means that you’re either driving around the lovely clear, traffic-free commuter roads of our great city with a giant smile on your face, or smiling (for now) about holidays and having extra time to spend with the kids!
If you’re part of the former group, you might be interested to hear that Legoland Manchester have special adult-only evenings, when only enthusiasts who are old enough to not squabble over the bricks are allowed in.
If you’re part of the kids group, then you might like to know that the hottest attraction in town this summer holidays is Legoland Discovery centre at the Trafford centre – as well as a vast collection of Lego, a soft play centre, and some Lego-based rides, their latest attraction is an ultra-immersive Virtual Reality ride which will literally make you feel as though you have entered another world!
The first place to have this technology in the UK - and only the second place in the world! – it combines a special pod and a VR mask which gives 360 degree vision combined with sights, sounds and movements as you join the Great Lego Race and are whisked through an incredible Lego-world including mountains, molten lava and river rapids.
Perhaps the best news is that CityCard members get special rates of 35% off when pre-booking tickets to Legoland discovery centre – check our offers page for details.
