What’s the best Thai restaurant in Manchester? There’s quite a few to choose from, with Chaophraya and Thaikhun both worthy of an honourable mention, but TripAdvisor says that you’ll find the best Thai food at TryThai – after close to 2,300 reviews! - and I would have to agree: it is the best in Manchester right now.
Quietly nestled upstairs in Chinatown, it’s easy to wander past it, or to think ‘what’s a Thai restaurant doing here?!’ but once you get inside, you’ll be upset that you haven’t been here before – and not just because of the food!
The atmosphere of the whole restaurant takes some beating, and the service is nearly always impeccable, but, of course, it’s the food that people rave about – about the authenticity of the flavours, the quality of the ingredients, and the colourful, spicy and delicious dishes on offer.
Personally, I’m a massive fan of the massaman curry on offer here, but my friends equally rave about the satay skewers, the chilli-basil, and the green curry. It’s the sort of place where you could pick off the menu blindfolded and still be delighted with what arrives in front of you – everything so much flavour that it puts not just warmth in your belly, but a smile on your face – which is clearly why so many of the people keep coming back here.
And it gets better, because CityCard holders get 20% off the total food bill from Monday to Thursday – check out their offer page, then get yourself booked in (recommended, because this place is regularly full).
