Manchester's Chef of the Year

18 August 2016
Manchester's Chef of the Year

The incredible Manchester Food and Drink Festival is fast approaching (29th September to 10th October 2016), and we can’t wait!

As one of the proud key sponsors, at CityCard we’re really looking forward to getting out and about at the festival – attending all manner of tastings and food-related events across the city – as well as manning our own stall at the festival hub, where we can tell even more people about CityCard.

There are also the prestigious MFDF awards, which celebrate and reward the best restaurants, chefs, food and drink that our city has to offer.  And it’s not just fine dining: there’s also awards for the ‘best cheap eats’, ‘best casual dining’ and ‘best food pub ’ – all decided by a mix of critics, mystery shoppers and a public vote.  Voting for all categories of awards is now open at: http://foodanddrinkfestival.com/awards/

CityCard are sponsoring the Chef of the Year award, which sees The French’s Adam Reid going up against Simon Shaw of El Gato Negro, Aiden Byrne of Manchester House, Joe Botham of Levanter, Terry Huang of Umezushi, and Byron Moses of Evelyn’s.  All magnificent chefs who we’ll hopefully be able to tell you more about them over the coming weeks!

Do you have a favourite chef?  Tell us who! @CityCardMCR
