CityCard in the Community

CityCard in the Community

It’s hard not to be miserable when there is all this doom and gloom talk of war, austerity, budget cuts, and general bad news after misery after disaster – and even more so with this terrible weather – so it’s important that we each try our hardest to think of others and try and support each other where we can.

At CityCard, we’re proud of the work that we do in supporting the community – from doing SkyDives for charity, to helping out at the local Scout Group, and even, this year, helping to build the local bonfire! – and in 2016, we’re going to go further.

Although the Government may not care much (if at all) for the NHS staff who look after us, or our teachers who develop and entertain our children, or road cleaners, or a whole host of public sector workers, at CityCard we think that these people do so much incredible work to build our communities and help us to enjoy life, that are genuinely invaluable, and deserve more.

That’s why we’ve recently been in talks to give local public sector staff  - like the local city councils and the NHS organisations – offering heavily discounted CityCard membership, for the whole of 2016.  It helps us fit our remit of giving something back to Manchester!

It’s not much, but it’s our way of saying ‘Thanks!’
