There’s yet more excitement on the restaurant scene of our great city after it was announced this morning that The Ivy – one of London’s most famous restaurants – is to open it’s first restaurant outside London here in Manchester.
The high-brow restaurant, whose clientele includes the A-list celebrities from the stage TV and big screen, will be based at the brand-new ‘Fields’ building in Spinningfields, which is currently under construction. The news comes as their Covent Garden restaurant celebrates being open for 100 years!
At the moment, apart from yet more fine food within the M60 – which is always something worth getting excited about! - we’ve not been told about the pricing or what the Ivy are planning - In London, there is a four month waiting list to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night (though obviously VIP’s can walk in whenever they want!), and there are a range of main courses from £20-£40 a head, including their classic Dover Sole.
It’s more great news for Manchester and, after we saw Hawksmoor and Burger-Lobster make the same trip, is part of a foodie tidal-wave that’s heading our way! Already boasting the best curry, Manchester will soon be the tastiest city in the UK! Enjoy!
